I didn't unpack anything today... little scary. In the past several days, I've unpacked:
While this may look like a lot (or maybe nothing at all!) My aim is to eventually get rid of the "nutrition" section, pare down the makeup (I want to get rid of the straighter, but have to wait for my hair to grow out, the powder foundation once I gain a little confidence, and the under eye concealer, which I think will go in the next couple days, as minimalism is allowing my sleep to improve drastically!), Downsize to a smaller purse (and an e reader), and increase the quality of the things in my wardrobe (maybe I can get rid of the dress. I don't wear dresses).
So, there's my thought process and what I ended up keeping! Tomorrow, I'll post on what was hard for me in shifting all the crap and where it is now.
Keep it simple,
Sarah
- Clothing. A small wardrobe. My final wardrobe will consist of: a nice dress, 2 jackets (suit and casual), 3 sweaters, 2 trousers (a khaki colored dress pant and a black one), 2 pairs of jeans, 1 coat, 3 button downs (black, white, and a blue and white pinstripe), a few t shirts (probably around 4-7), and three pairs of shoes- black heels, silver flat sandals, and dual toned closed toed flats. I also have a couple workout outfits, but I don't count them or home lounge clothing, as well as underwear, because I wear them solely for working out or pajamas (although I wear the underwear all the time. You're welcome, world).
- Hair and Makeup. A hair straighter and curling iron, two clips, several pony tail holders, ten bobby pins, a powder foundation and brush, a single eye shadow, an under eye concealer, a lip gloss, a BB cream (that I use as a highlight), a pack of oil blotting sheets, and an eyeliner.
- Grooming. Soap, shampoo, a loofah, conditioner, a razor, toothbrush (and toothpaste and mouthwash plus floss, because I'm a oral hygiene fanatic), facial cleansing pads, spot treatment, lotion, and a body spray.
- Nutrition. Multivitamins & antibiotics.
- Purse. My wallet, current reading book, a pen, notebook, and an extra hairbrush (because you can't afford to be without it when you have as much hair as I do). I also throw in my makeup bag before I leave the house.
